Purpose and Passion

In 1980, when I was getting ready to switch careers from teaching into the travel industry, my wife Rhea told me that my gifts were really in teaching. I thought my gifts were really in the business world and I wanted to make more money.

In retrospect, she was absolutely right. Whenever my path brought me into some type of teaching, I always excelled. It took 30 years for me to figure out that our purpose is find the gifts that we were given and to bring those gifts to the world.

Sometimes we don't always know where are gifts are because we don't have the confidence in ourselves to admit we have gifts. Ask the people who love you, they know what your gifts are. Then find a way to give those gifts to the world through service and watch your true destiny unfold.
